The purpose of the Society is to deepen the relationship between Switzerland and Japan. Namely its aims are the following:

• provide members with a window of cultural, intellectual, social and economic life in Japan
• offer Japanese citizens living in Switzerland a platform to meet Swiss citizens
• foster understanding between Japanese and Swiss

The Society is neither politically engaged, nor does it exercise any political influence.
